This is a rapidly growing, ‘start-up’ real estate investment company headquartered here in the Phoenix Valley. The company is currently in the early stages of expanding to other markets outside of Arizona. Due to this incredible growth, revenue and cash flow has grown beyond what DIY accounting processes can handle. We’re searching for a CFO who is excited about being a part of the process of building this organization from the infant stages, and someone who fully understands and welcomes the challenges and chaos that we will inevitably face as a new company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives, ensuring long-term financial health and stability.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market volatility and regulatory compliance, to protect the company’s assets and investments.
  • Capital Management: Manage capital allocation, investment decisions, and capital structure to support growth initiatives and maximize returns.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Evaluate potential acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities, conducting due diligence and financial analysis.
  • Tax Planning: Develop tax strategies that optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar senior financial leadership role.
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking with a track record of driving financial success.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting, real estate finance, real estate law, business finance, business law, business structures, employee law.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements in the real estate sector.

Compensation

Negotiable. This is a startup, and we’re looking for someone who understands that. Starting Base pay of 75k per year + Expansion Bonuses.
